In the September 2015 issue of Progressive Dairyman on page 32, Janna Moats discusses her findings of using extruded flaxseed (linPRO-R) to enhance milk with both Omega-3’s and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). Janna goes on to say that feeding linPRO-R to dairy cattle can improve the health of the animal while simultaneously improving the nutritional value of the milk for consumers. Janna’s work is part of her Masters research done at the University of Saskatchewan, working out of the Rayner Dairy Barn.
